Unfortunately, the Bolton Cross Country Championships fell victim to the weather once again this week. As soon as a future date has been decided, all of the runners will be informed.
Year 7 and 8 boys have been in action in the Bolton football league travelling to Essa Academy. Year 7 put in their best performance to date with an outstanding 6-0 win. Sharples enjoyed the majority of possession and confidently passed the ball around. Josh Rand started the scoring with an excellent strike from just inside the box and Hamza Patel scored a goal in each half. Goals from Phil Ufoma, Mohammed Patel and a Liam Worswick free kick completed the rout.
Year 8 had a difficult experience and struggled to contain a physical and talented Essa team. Despite the challenge, the team refused to give in and got their consolation goal near the end when Faraz curled a shot into the corner after good work from Rayyan Ali.
