Architecture Workshop STEM Event

By 29 January 2019June 2nd, 2021No Comments

14 pupils (each from Year 9 and 10) attended a hands-on activity run by Architecture Workshop, a company set up to engage pupil interest in building and design. The company provides wooden building sticks and bands for pupils to create structures made from tetrahedrons whilst assessing their strength. Year 10 used their team-building, and communication skills, to create skyscrapers whilst Year 9 built bridges. Perhaps the activity will be the first step on the path towards a career in architecture for some of our pupils?
