This week, pupils in Year 7 have been working hard to create games to test the knowledge of their peers on the Black Death.
Black Death week has been running at Sharples for the past 3 years and the finished products are always impressive. I am pleased to report that this year is no exception!
Pupils have to gather all of the information and research themselves – they are taught nothing in class – and then come up with an innovative board game, complete with rules, instructions and prizes.
At the end of the task, the pupil’s knowledge of the Black Death can rival that of our History teachers!
