Dear Year 11 Parents and Carers,
As your child’s five years at Sharples comes to a close, I wanted to write to thank you for your support over the years.
The Class of 2026 have embraced everything that Sharples has offered, growing in confidence, maturity and independence, ready to take the next step in their lives towards adulthood.
We’ve enjoyed many trips and residentials together, from the Night at the Museum to Spain just last October, with each one making memories that will last a lifetime. Many of these I have experienced personally with the year group and they have always made the most of every opportunity, having fun and learning more at the same time.
Over the past few months, the dedication and hard work that has gone into their GCSE studies has been incredible. Full attendance at ALS evening sessions every night throughout the year, holiday and weekend sessions, plus independent study in the school library and at home. The students have done their very best, and that is all that can be asked of them.
There is now just one week remaining until Year 11 students reach their official summer holidays. A reminder that all students have work experience provision this week, via the Springpod website that all students are signed up to, and the “Take Your Child to Work” days. If you need any support with this please get in touch.
GCSE Results Day is Thursday 20th August and we will be in touch with more details closer to the time.
We are very proud of our Year 11 students and we hope that each and every one of them has an enjoyable summer and a well deserved rest.
Your Sincerely
Caroline Molyneux
Headteacher
