On Saturday, Sharples School held its annual Winter Fair.
Stallholders from all across Bolton gathered in the school hall and theatre selling a wide range of fantastic foods and gifts.
Santa made an appearance in Sharples Santa’s Grotto (see photo above), and there were many fun, festive games and activities to get involved in. One of the most popular stalls was the Chocolate Tombola of course, which had some spectacular prizes, thanks to generous donations from Sharples students and their families (see photo above).
One of the main events was the ‘Festive Primary School Competition’. Pupils from surrounding primary schools got creative designing their own Christmas greeting cards and decorations, with two star prizes on offer to the winners. It was a close call as there were lots of beautiful designs.
There was a great sense of community and all who attended had lots of fun. As Sharples’ Megan Heyes said: “It was nice to see a lot of people getting into the Christmas spirit.”
