This week, Year 10 were treated to three guest speakers from the STEM Ambassadors Programme.

They came in to talk about STEM Careers. Shane McKie (pictured), from the University of Manchester, kicked off the event with his role as a Medical Image researcher for the University.

Paul Wightman, a retired Mechanical Engineer, explained the Maths behind landing an Airbus aeroplane!

Finally, Robert Weston talked about the Maths he uses in his job as an engineer in the Nuclear Industry.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the morning and we would like thank them all for coming to Sharples.
