On Thursday, Sharples travelled to Turton to take part in the third netball league match of the year. With all year groups playing, we knew every game would be a tough match. Year 7 and Year 8 struggled to get off the mark, but when the nerves settled, they started to play some decent netball but it wasn’t quite enough to come away with the win. The Year 9 and Year 10 games were a closer encounter. Both teams were evenly matched with Turton, however the smaller details and fewer unforced errors ensured Turton game away with the wins. The Year 10 match was a thrilling, end to end game which finished 14-17 in Turton’s favour. Sharples were winning after all 3 quarters but Turton just pulled away in the final quarter; final quarter nerves need to be worked on!
