The Year 10 team looked to build on their positive display last week and get over their defeat with an away trip to Westhoughton. It was excellent turn out by the team with competition for places heating up. After showing some nice touches and dribbling skills, Kai Dalhouse received Man of the Match.

Unfortunately, Westhoughton had to postpone the Year 9 game so they have to wait until next week to play their first game of the season. A large squad was selected for the fixture, with all players managing to get some game time. Regrettably, Sharples didn’t manage to get their first win but did manage to score their first goal. With a superb left foot strike, Josh Kenyon used his pace to break the offside trap and scored a fantastic goal.

Next week, all years will be in action against Kearsley Academy. Years 7, 9 and 10 will play at Sharples next Tuesday.
