Unfortunately, the year 10 game on Tuesday had to be postponed.

The Key Stage 3 table tennis team had their first fixture of the season with a difficult opening encounter as they travelled to a Rivington & Blackrod. The squad have been training regularly on a Wednesday after school and at lunchtimes in preparation for the upcoming fixtures. It was a new look team with some Year 7s making the team. Phil Ufoma, Josh Rand, Usmal Afzal and Alex Grabowski all had fantastic debuts for the school. The ‘A’ team were edged out of victory whilst the ‘B’ team narrowly lost by 4 games. Overall, it was a superb performance against a very strong team. Next Tuesday, the team will travel to Turton.

The girls have been working hard on their gymnastics routine and a selection of pupils will compete in the Salford 100 life saving event at Westhoughton pool next Tuesday.

Year 7 and 8 will also be in action on Monday in an indoor cricket tournament at Smithills.
