In the half term holiday, a group of Year 10 students attended “Operating Theatre Live”. The interactive dissection show has featured on BBC Dragons Den and aims to give GCSE Biology students an insight into the life of a medical student. In addition to this, it provides information on career pathways into medical professions.
The students took part in a brain dissection, a workshop on the role of anesthetist and opened the thoracic, and abdominal cavities, to learn about the organs inside.
The experience was fantastic and the students learned a lot about this career field.
