Sharples School BoltonWelcome to our new look website. We hope you find it useful and informative. If you have any suggestions on how to improve it even further, do let us know on the School’s email address.

As we come to the end of the year, it gives me great pleasure to look back and celebrate the achievements of Sharples students. I am very proud of Sharples School. We have high expectations for all our pupils and staff and believe that by living up to our code of conduct – courtesy, consideration, cooperation and commonsense, we will develop well rounded, confident citizens who will make a contribution to society in whatever form their future takes.

The GCSE exams went well and we hope that our pupils will gain the grades they need to take them on to the next step of their journeys. We have already welcomed our new Year 7’s when they attended a fun-packed induction day. I look forward to seeing them all again on their first day, Tuesday 3rd September when they will be joined by parents in the afternoon for their ‘Graduation Ceremony’ as they receive a new school tie to mark their transition from primary to secondary school.

It has been an extremely busy end to the school year with reward trips, performances, college visits, presentation evenings, creative arts days and last but not least, the Prom for the Class of 2013. I would like to thank all our staff for helping organise these enriching events and the pupils who have been true ambassadors for Sharples School.

I have found the last two terms at Sharples exciting, challenging and enjoyable but above all, rewarding and look forward to another new school year starting in September. Thank you to all our parents and carers for your on-going support in helping Sharples to push standards even higher.

Wishing you all a very safe and happy summer break.
