It was a fantastic penultimate match of the season for the girl’s football team on Monday night. They played local rivals Canon Slade at home. It was an extremely close game resulting in a 2-2 draw! Both goals came from Millie Knowles with her second being a fantastic first strike from kick off at the halfway line. This earned her ‘Player of the Match!’ Lauren Heyes had her debut up front and really took well to the role! A surprise appearance from her big sister Megan really helped us out in goal! Jess Eslick, Paige Bowden and Leah Winstanley had to play out of position due to a few players being absent. They gave it their all with Leah narrowly missing out on a goal. Jess and Paige may both feel a little bruised today. Fab defending girls!
