eTwinning with Normandy

This week, our Year 9 Good to Great pupils met 9 pupils from our partner school in France via Skype.

The meeting was an opportunity for the pupils from both schools to get to know each other and to ask questions about life in each country ahead of the project they will be doing together.

The project will involve comparing scenes from postcards of Normandy during D-Day in 1944, to how each of the scenes look today – which the French school will capture.

The pupils will then collaborate and create a magazine of their findings as well as information about the D-Day landings.

Over the coming months, the project will take place and – hopefully – this will be the first of many shared learning opportunities between Sharples School and our partner schools overseas.
