Consultation on increasing the Published Admission Number

By 23 March 2018June 2nd, 2021No Comments

To whom it may concern:

Consultation on increasing the Published Admission Number (PAN) of Sharples School.

This letter is to invite your views on the proposed increase of the PAN from September 2018.

The proposed expansion in PAN is in response to the current demand for places across Bolton.

We have had a request from Bolton Local Authority to provide more school places for the increasing number of children who require secondary school provision. We do not intend to make any amendments to our current admissions arrangements; we are simply proposing the creation of more school places at the academy.

The Academy is proposing to increase the PAN from 210 to 240 pupils for Year 7 admissions. This would be implemented gradually over the next 5 years.

While there will be no additional building needed to allow us to increase our PAN in the first year, we are looking to have a new block in place by September 2019 in addition to continuing to improve all areas of the academy site.

Consultation begins on Friday 23rd March and continues until 12 noon on Friday 20th April 2018.

Any comments or suggestions can be made on the original letter (see below for link) which can be copied and forwarded to Ms L Ashton, PA to the Headteacher at the address below. Alternatively, emails may be sent to office@sharplesschool.co.uk. If you wish to send an email please put CONSULTATION ON INCREASE OF PAN in the subject box.

Yours faithfully
