Last Friday, a group of Year 9 students visited Bury College to find out more about the Btec Animal Care course. The students listened to a presentation from the course leader; they had the opportunity to ask questions. The students then conducted a health check on a rabbit. They checked its eyes, ears and body for signs of infection or indications that intervention was required. With health checks having been successfully completed, the students had a closer look at some of the other animals involved with the course such as fish, frogs, stick insects and snakes. Afterwards, they then listened to students from the college. They discussed their experiences and found out what life was like on the farm.
