Sharples School runs a GCSE revision trip to Paris every February, a highly anticipated event by Year 11 students. They work hard revising for Maths, English and Science GCSE's and enjoy enjoy a range of cultural experiences in the city. For many of our pupils, this serves as the first time they have had the opportunity to travel abroad and they were all looking forward to a trip they would never forget.

However in light of devastating events in Paris, and the official advice not to travel to Paris whilst it is in a state of emergency, the school has no choice but to cancel the trip.

The children have already paid for the trip and the school has paid the full cost totalling £9000 for travel and accommodation. Unfortunately due to insurance restrictions the accommodation costs cannot be fully refunded and 50% of the total had to be forfeited. The plan is to change the destination to Northern Spain so the year group don’t totally miss out on their trip but to do this we need to raise the £4500!
