This week, teachers from across the North West of England and Wales came to Sharples School to take part in our first Teach Meet. The teachers were all representatives from the National Space Centre who met to discuss teaching and learning ideas in Science based around the theme of Space. Topics including Tim Peake's November flight to the International Space Station, the current Rosetta probe to the comet C69 and the 2018 launch of the James Webb Space Telescope. These were all discussed as themes that can be used in lessons to "hook" childrens’ attention.
In May, Sharples will be hosting its first Bolton wide Teach Meet in which teachers from all local Bolton Schools are invited to share ideas and resources.
