Sharples Under 13s looked to bounce back from their recent disappointment and entertained Essa Academy at Eagley Cricket Club. The team decided to bowl first and felt that their recent bowling practise sessions would enable them to put Essa under pressure. The decision proved to be the right one, Rehman Afzal caused all sorts of problems with his bowling and finished with 3 wickets. The young team have been searching for consistency in their first season together and all their hard work on the training ground appears to paying off. With Essa's run rate slowing down, the team managed to share the bowling responsibilities without it being costly, and for the first time this season, Sharples bowled the opposition out with overs remaining.

The team stepped out to bat brimming with confidence, Rehman set about his business with the bat as he did with the ball. With the runs starting to tally up, opening batsmen Rehman and Mustafa retired and Zayd Adam guided the team past the oppositions total with an incredible 8 overs remaining.

A superb team performance, keep up the practise at lunchtime and after school.
