As we approach the final push for GCSE success in 2015, Year 11 were privileged to receive a talk from the highly inspirational Andy Walker (pictured above with our students). Andy Walker was a successful young man who, on holiday, had a serious accident which left him paralysed from the neck down. Remarkably, Andy is incredibly positive and spends his time doing all the things an able bodied person can do. He spoke to the Year 11 students about resilience, determination and having a 'can do' attitude. Moving forward, there really is no excuse for under-performance as proven by Andy as he has removed every barrier in his own life. We all must reflect on that and do the same.
