Year 10 started their cricket season off in style with a thrilling game against Ladybridge High School. Sharples won the coin toss and decided to field for the first innings. The bowling was generally good and Ladybridge struggled to build momentum. Sharples finished strongly as Muhammad Master took 2 wickets in the last over.

When it came to batting, Sharples decided to take a forceful approach but the Wintery conditions made things difficult. Despite continuing to put runs on the board, wickets were falling quickly. With 4 overs remaining it looked like the end result was going to be close. Indeed it was and the game finished with Sharples requiring 6 runs off the last over and then 2 runs from the last bowl to secure a victory. Sheraz Rafique and Mohammad Akil kept their cool and Mohammed edged the last bowl to score 2 runs and win the game for Sharples.
