Our second Sharples Year 10 Super Learning Day has been a positive experience for all involved. The day got off to a great start when Barclays outreach worker Billie Dunne opened the proceedings with an assembly focussing on her achievements and success far and wide whilst working with Free the Children. She was both aspirational and thought provoking and set the scene for the day well by giving them food for thought.
Students then moved on to their workshops which helped them to improve their communication skills in interview situations and understand more about dealing with money and budgeting. The students were both engaged and engaging during the sessions and positive feedback has been received. The day closed by providing students with the opportunity to pass on their details to Barclays to be involved in further workshops and work placements.
A successful day was had by all.
