On Wednesday this week, the GCSE Astronomy class visited Salford City College in Eccles to receive a lecture from Anu Ojha, the Director of the National Space Academy in Leicester. Anu spoke of British Astronaut Tim Peake's mission to the International Space Station in Autumn and how the young people in our school today could be the next ones to venture into space.

The inspirational talk was accompanied by stalls and information about level 3 Space Engineering courses that are being launched in Manchester for the first time this September.

Perhaps one of our young astronomy students could be the next British astronaut!
