Dear Parent/Carer,
On Thursday 29th September we are holding the “Settling In” evening for Year 7 parents and pupils. The event will provide the opportunity to meet your child’s form tutor, find out how your child has settled into their studies at Sharples and ask any questions that you may have regarding the academic side of school.
The timings for the evening are;
5.30pm Presentation by Senior Leadership Team
- An overview of the year so far for Year 7
- Target Setting and Assessment at Sharples
- The importance of reading for your child and how we can help
6.00pm Presentation by your child’s form tutor on the first few weeks at Sharples for your child
6.20pm Coffee and Cake with the opportunity for questions
7.00pm End
The evening is an important step in ensuring that your child’s transition to secondary is happy and successful one and we do hope that you will be able to attend.
