Sharples School celebrated the successes and achievements of the pupils with Reward Assemblies. Each day this week, a different year group gathered in the theatre to acknowledge the various awards gained by their peers.
The four girls from our upper school quartet, Sara Melo Mendez, Yasmin Bourke, Lauren Taylor and Therese Munene, opened the assembly with their beautiful rendition of ‘Amid the Falling Snow’. Awards were then presented to pupils with high and greatly improved attendance, pupils who have represented Sharples in sport, pupils who have embodied the Sharples 4C’s (Courtesy, Co-Operation, Consideration and Common Sense) and pupils with the highest number of Sharples reward points.
As a special treat, the pupils were shown a video of the whole Sharples’ staff recreating the ‘Let It Go’ song from Frozen. To raise money for charity, Friday saw a non-uniform day. The money raised was given to the group of charities that Sharples School proudly supports.
