On Friday 22nd January, over 100 Year 7 and 8 pupils spent the night in the Birmingham Think Tank Science Museum for a sleepover - with a difference! The students took part in activities relating to Tim Peake's Principia mission to the International Space Station. They tested astronaut urine, tried out a robotic arm (just like the one Tim used on his recent space walk) and found out about space careers. After the midnight feast it was time to bed down in sleeping bags amongst the exhibits!
On Saturday morning the group enjoyed a visit to the West Midlands Safari Park, home to many endangered animals including white tigers and rhinos. It was a fabulous trip and it is already booked into the calendar for next year...so if you are in Year 6...you could be there in January 2017!
