On Monday 5th September our new Year 7 pupils arrived looking smart in their new uniforms for their first day at Sharples School. Throughout the morning, they spent time in their form rooms getting to know each other and embarked on a treasure hunt around the school to help them find their way around. In the afternoon, each new recruit nervously walked into the school theatre in front of a huge audience of family and friends to receive their tie from Mrs Quesnel.
Proudly wearing their new ties, we now have over 160 new members of Sharples School!
A parent of a new Year 7 pupil said “Brilliant Tie Ceremony; the best high school by far out of all we have seen. Will be recommending Sharples to everyone!”
The day was completed with a spectacular afternoon tea served in the school canteen for all pupils and guests.
Good luck to all our new Year 7 pupils as they start their journey with us!
