Netball Report

Kearsley Academy travelled to Sharples on Wednesday to play our first netball fixture of the season. As we’ve moved up a league, we were ready and excited to play. However, Kearsley could not fulfil the fixture for the Year 7 and Year 10 team which was really disappointing. They did bring a Year 8 and Year 9 team. The Year 8 team played really well and showed that attending practice regularly (as a team) really improves game play. They secured their first win of the season comfortably; he score was 3-1. Well done girls, keep it up! The Year 9s haven’t had such a good start, however there were some great performances that will be built on throughout the season. Their match ended 7-2. We didn’t disappoint the girls who had turned up to play and we played a couple of friendly matches afterwards. All the girls enjoyed it and are looking forward to their next match against St. Catherine’s next week. We gained the points for Year 7, Year 8 and Year 10 – well done girls! Training for everyone on Tuesday.
