In order to celebrate International Languages Day, the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department held an ‘International Festival’ every lunchtime this week. Students watched Bollywood movies whilst eating popcorn, had their hands henna painted by our talented Language Ambassadors, undertook Urdu calligraphy lessons, Flamenco danced and also tasted a variety of international foods.
The Language Ambassadors assisted in the organisation and running of the festival, with the MFL department supervising the activities. The students who attended the activities were very enthusiastic about this year’s festival. Both staff and students commented about the lively atmosphere in the MFL corridor.
