‘Geocaching’ is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. It is treasure hunting for the digital generation. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers called geocaches, Geocachers seek out these hidden goodies guided by a GPS enabled device which uses coordinates or 'waypoints'.
On Tuesday, we had Year 5 pupils from The Oaks Primary taking part in this fun activity as part of the Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3 transition tasters. Pupils were very excited and really enjoyed collecting the various geocaches positioned around the school. The winning team collected all 10 geocaches needed to decipher a hidden message.
