Jordan Kirkwood and Callum Elliott qualified to represent Sharples School in the English School Athletics Championship at the weekend. Both athletes did themselves and the school proud, competing in their discipline at the highest level. Callum Elliott cruised through his heat to make the final, but unfortunately had to retire injured. Callum is still recovering from a hip injury he sustained last year. Jordan Kirkwood looked to emulate his success at the recent Town Championship and had to knock an incredible 3 seconds off his personal best and school record in order to seal 4th place. It was a fantastic achievement and both pupils served as great ambassadors for the school.
