After 3 consecutive cricket matches being cancelled, the Sharples Under 13s were back in action against Mount St Joseph's. Sharples lost the coin toss and were made to bowl first.
Mount St Joseph's started well and immediately started to put runs on the scoreboard. It was a strong performance by the visiting team and despite the 2 wickets from Awarish and 3 from Amir Adam, Sharples couldn't prevent Mount St Joseph's reaching an impressive 96 runs.
Sharples knew that they couldn't waste any time and lived a little too dangerously. We immediately began to lose wickets due to the need for runs. Raiman hit an impressive innings and led the attack but couldn't prevent the team from suffering defeat.
The team will look to use the experience when they face St James’s on Monday at Eagley.
