The Year 9s took part in the Bolton schools’ hockey tournament on Thursday at Thornleigh.
We were drawn against talented opposition!
With some great individual performances from Ellie, Olivia upfront and Megan in net, we won our first match against Rivington and Blackrod High School comfortably with a scoreline of 5-0.
We lost our next match against Thornleigh 1-0, then went on to beat Ladybridge 1-0.
This earned us a place in the semi-final against Canon Slade. The game was 0-0 at half-time but we had lost a key player in Thea. Knowing that the team would struggle without her, Courtney bravely played on despite being injured!
There were some excellent defensive efforts from Lucy, but we lost the match 3-0.

Well played girls!
