On Thursday, Sharples students were joined by a team of Forensic Scientists who set up a crime scene in the theatre (see picture). "A Case of Conspiracy" was a murder plot that the pupils had to solve using scientific techniques including chromatography, fingerprinting and DNA analysis.
Students from Harper Green, Canon Slade, St James' and Bolton St Catherines' visited Sharples to try their hand at solving the mystery.
In the final workshop of the day, our own Sharples Year 9 pupils got involved, with many of them already having an interest in studying sciences at university. The future doctors, vets and research scientists made short work of analysing the evidence and came up with the killer verdict.
Thank you to all our Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils who took part and to the visiting schools for their participation.
